South Bermondsey's Padel Box occupies British Wharf on Rollins Street, about 12 minutes' walk from South Bermondsey station, and pitches itself as a new social space to meet and play sport as much as a padel venue. The courts are panoramic.
Courts and academy sessions are booked through Playtomic. Improvers coaching runs in 60-minute sessions, beginner mix-ins last 90 minutes, and there is pro coaching with Sam Jones, ranked number two in Great Britain, plus tournaments from beginner to advanced level.
The Social Box area is the distinctive part: a coffee shop, a bar on the mezzanine balcony and work booths, so it doubles as somewhere to work between games. There are also lockers, a pro shop with racket hire and disabled access.
