Whetstone's PADELHUB occupies a unit on Downland Close and brands itself the home of indoor padel. Playtomic notes that the courts were released first while the bar, changing rooms and gym were still under construction, so parts of the venue may not be finished when you visit.
Pay and play bookings run through Playtomic with a seven-day window. Memberships from Bronze to Platinum, priced £14.99 to £99.99 a month, bring court discounts of 15 to 50 per cent, booking windows of 10 to 14 days, gym access and discounts in the bar and shop; Gold and Platinum are capped at six and eight active bookings and are in limited supply. A junior membership for under-18s is £34.99 a month with ID required.
Archie Hayes and Tom Shipton coach here, and coaching and socials are discounted for members. The full venue is planned to include a gym, shop, bar and cafe, snack bar and social areas.
